Reader’s Confession Tag :)

readersconfessiontagpic

🙂 HELLO ladies and booklovers, let’s jump right in to today’s tag: the reader’s confession tag. To be perfectly honest I am super scared to do this because OMG what book snuggler wants to admit damaging perfect glorious inked pages? But I’m guilty too so here I go. *covers eyes* this is like riding a rollercoaster.

1. HAVE YOU EVER DAMAGED YOUR OWN BOOK?

*loud sobbing* YEEEEES. I’ve spilled coffee, tea, hot chocolate, smencils, tears, blood (I used to own a cactus and I stabbed myself watering it. youch), and other many unnamed items on my books. Arg I hate it. Tears are an honorable bookish spillage (usually from dashing romanticalness), but smencils noooooooo why my beautiful book. I mean the scene where Wolf is reunited with Scarlet in the Lunar Chronicles? Bookworms, I did not just cry I soaked the page ( a good fifteen minutes of blubbering) and just kept hugging it and yelling ‘Yes yes yes yeees yes!!!!!’. And I am very proud of the page documenting it. 🙂

But I can never forgive myself for the smencil marks on my Emily Rodda Fairy Realm copy.

2. HAVE YOU EVER DAMAGED A BORROWED BOOK?

*hides* don’t hurt me. Yes :(. I smeared chocolate on the page about cats. And I felt horrible! Come down with flu, stepped on a lego, and then forgot to return books to the library horrible.

3. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO READ INHALE-WORDS-WHILE-NOT-BREATHING/EATING/SLEEPING A BOOK?

Reading is such a wondrous word for what its like to be sucked away into the pages of a good book.

Boooooooks 🙂 :). When I was reading the Immortal Descendants series I finished all of the books in like 3 days but reading other less appealing *cough* school *cough* books it can take me like 5928592579 years. I turn the page and feel so accomplished I celebrate with hot chocolate, enthusiastic clapping, and distractio- Bob the butterfly!

4. BOOKS THAT YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED?

Usuuuually I try to finish everything I read cause I love love the characters and can’t bear to be parted from them until page number 400, but there are definitely a couple I haven’t finished. Mostly for very good reasons – including creepy frogmen, evil plot twists, and love triangles.

The first book I pacifically remember not finishing was about this young boy and his dad. My brother got it from the book fair and it was supposed to be an action-adventure-epic-high-coolness-dudes novel about the team’s adventures while defeating these men who turned into human sized frogs (uhhuhhuhhmmm). But it was so scary! *squishes stuffed sloth*…. I got 75% done with it and couldn’t read anymore because I was so #scaredtodeatheeeeep about the frog men. It was super super spider creepy and I have never picked up again.

A couple of other books I haven’t finished include -but are not limited to- (did I sound like a furniture commercial? heehee *does dance* it twas on the bucket list bookworms)  A Faerie’s revenge, The mark of the dragonfly, and You’re Invited.

5. HYPED/POPULAR BOOKS YOU DON’T LIKE?

Uyearmm…. mayhaps perhapsicles The Selection? That’s the only one I can think of at the momento…. mmmmm, well I don’t know if that one counts because I did like it, but I couldn’t get into the writing so I haven’t been recommending it. Humdiddly.

6. CLASSICS YOU DIDN’T ENJOY?

NNOOOOOOOONE I LOVE CLASSICS YASSSS #Jane Eyre #Pandora’s Mask #Pride and Predjudice #CLASSICLOVE

7. BOOKS YOU BOUGHT JUST FOR THE INTELLECTUAL-NESS OF IT ALL?

Whale. Being honest….. I bought this one reeaaaallly long book for show so I could display it in my room. Heh heh. I know…. it doesn’t even make sense since I’m a hermit and my plants are the only ones that see it. #bookproblems

Oh! I did get this one book a teacher recommended that was really intellectual. So I sorta kinda pickleish bought it for intellectual reasons. But I mostly wanted to test it out; see if I was worthy of its impending doom greatness.

8. ANY BOOKS YOU HAVEN’T GIVEN BACK?

I’m sure there are a couple in here….. AHHHHHHH *is knocked in the head by book avalanche*

**NOTE: Oops! I’m so sorry, I forgot to tag people. Eeeep.

  1. I love this tag!! Thanks so much for tagging me I can’t wait to do it! Hmm I guess the weirdest thing I’ve ever spilled on a book would be orange juice? I was really mad at myself for that….

  2. Hey, thanks for this tag Jordan!! 🙂 It looks like so much fun.
Okay, confession time: at Thanksgiving I dropped an entire cream cheese pie on WINTER BY MARISSA MEYER, *hides in shame* THANKFULLY, the cover jacket was taken off so with a few paper towels and a wet wipe, it was okay. 🙂 Never take the jacket off and you’ll never see the yellowy stain… or smell the cream cheese on it. Ugh. D:
